Questions for Etan and Daphne
Q: When and where is the wedding?
A: Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 at 5:30 p.m., Hotel Alcott, Cape May, N.J.
Q: Why Cape May?
A: Daphne and Etan love taking weekend trips or trips for a few days. That’s part of why they chose Cape May — so their guests could have a little getaway of their own. It’s also about halfway between Etan and Daphne’s home towns.
Q: Where should we stay?
A: You can stay at the site of the wedding, Hotel Alcott, or one of Cape May’s many other hotels or bed & breakfasts. It all depends on your budget and taste. One caveat about staying at the Alcott: the rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and there is no elevator (it’s an old place). We’ve listed the Alcott rates on the Hotels page.
Q: What is the dress code for the wedding?
A: The attire is black-tie optional. Etan and Daphne enjoy dressing up and they want everyone else to look as snazzy.
Here is one guide:
For Men: If you have been invited to a “Black Tie Optional” affair, you are not required to wear a tuxedo. Also acceptable: a dark suit, white shirt and evening tie. However, chances are there will be more guests wearing tuxedos than regular suits at the event.
For Women: The choice of floor-length gown, evening suit or short cocktail dress are all acceptable.
Q: Where are Etan and Daphne going on their honeymoon?
A: We are leaning towards Costa Rica. Feel free to post a suggestion in our Guestbook.
