Live from the Wedding War Room

So it’s two weeks until the big day and Daphne and I are hunkered down in the Wedding War Room.

Normally, it’s my office/guest bedroom, but with a lot of last minute planning and things to do, I moved Daphne’s computer in here so we could work side by side.

So what exactly goes on in the War Room? Everything from figuring out the seating arrangements to designing a program and printing labels for gift bags for the guests. We just finished making the labels.

OK, I better get back to work or Daphne will beat me! As always, let us know if you have any questions. And I’m happy to report that Daphne let me register for some gadgets and other manly stuff at Sears.

gotta love the war room concept!

The stars are aligning favorably. We have elected a new inspiring leader, a Democratic Congress and the last two World Series have been won by the teams of the Bride (Red Sox) and Groom (Phillies).

While Daphne and Etan are exchanging vows Penn will be beating Harvard to win the Ivy League soccer championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament where they will likely be eliminated by Maryland (by the way their only Ivy loss this year was to Columbia). And for my most obscure soccer reference, this past Saturday my underachieving Tottenham Hotspur side beat previously undefeated Liverpool who hasn’t won the English soccer championship since 1989 when Ronny Rosenthal, captain of Israel, was scoring goals for them. Now that Liverpool has acquired current Israel captain, Yossi Benayoun, they should win this year.

Despite my obsession I will be wearing a black tuxedo, not a black referee’s uniform, to the wedding.
